Chester served as Senior Pastor, District Superintendent and Council of Ministries Director in the Kansas West Conference. His first sermon is preserved on a vinyl record for his children to hear and wonder at his life-long passion for preaching. After Patricia’s death in 2016, Chester moved to Dallas, TX.Ĭhester’s passions were his ministry, family, and golf. Together, Chet and Pat were a parsonage family in Winfield, KS, Parsippany, NJ, Oxford, KS, Newton, KS, Salina, KS, Derby, KS, Wichita, KS, Hutchinson, KS and retired back to Newton, KS. He later earned his Doctor of Ministry from the Saint Paul School of Theology Methodist in 1977.

Chester was a 1959 graduate of Drew Seminary in New Jersey and was ordained a Methodist Minister in the Central Kansas Conference. He graduated from Southwestern College in 1955. His father was a veteran of World War I and taught school for many years in Little River, Kingman, Halstead, Geneseo and at Fort Dodge.
